
Nature Journaling
Sunday 6 July 2025 10am – 4pm
The Earth Sangha are continuing our series of mindful walks to celebrate the beauty of the seasons in the midst of our local nature spots. In a change to our usual format, we are combining this with a nature journaling workshop.
On Sunday July 6th we will start with a silent mindful walk from the centre followed by a short period in the shrine room. This session will run from 10:30am - 12.15pm (We will meet at the centre at 10 for 10:30am; doors will be open from 10am for a cuppa beforehand). This will be followed by a shared plant-based lunch (please bring a contribution) until 1pm.
We will then have a session from 1- 4pm in which we use our observations from the morning to inform some nature journaling. The afternoon will include some information and ideas about creative responses to nature eg writing, drawing, photography etc. We will be providing some materials eg paints, pencils, paper etc but please feel free to bring any particular creative materials you enjoy using. It is fine if you wish to come to just the morning or afternoon sessions - if that is the case please arrive promptly.
If you can let us know you will be coming to the afternoon session that would be useful but if not, it is fine to just arrive. The day is free but if you are able to give a donation to support the running of the centre that would be much appreciated. All are welcome!
